Last week Forbes Magazine published its ranking of America's most successful self-made women. The two Rodan Fields founders Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields made this year's list. The women on the Forbes list are worth $ 90 billion together and have founded companies or helped companies expand.
The self-made women Rodan and Fields helped develop the product Proactiv for the treatment of acne and founded the skin care company Rodan Fields in 2000. Rodan and Fields were both trained as dermatologists at Stanford. The company was quickly acquired by the Estée Lauder Companies, which placed the R F skin care products in department stores.
