The direct sales and network marketing market in the European Union recorded an increase in total sales of 1.3 % to EUR 30.3 billion in 2019. The slight growth is driven by the national markets of Germany and France, which are among the ten largest markets worldwide. Smaller markets such as the Baltic States (Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia) and Romania also contribute to growth.
The UK, the third largest market in Europe, has already felt the effects of Brexit and saw total sales decline by 6%, while the Europe region remains stable and is the third largest segment of the global sales market after the Asia-Pacific region and America.
