Direct sales held their own in the crisis and generated sales growth despite difficult framework conditions. This is shown by the market study just published on the situation of the direct sales industry in Germany by the University of Mannheim, which is commissioned annually by the Federal Association of Direct Sales Germany (BDD). The turnover of the BDD member companies rose by 14 percent in the past year.
The market study shows that the industry was also able to record an overall growth in sales of around one percent to 18.72 billion euros. "This is an incredible achievement when you consider how much direct sales were affected by the restrictions on personal advice," comments Prof. Dr. Florian Kraus from the University of Mannheim presented the latest results.
