On June 9, 2020, the Augsburg District Court announced - as far as can be seen - the first judgment in a criminal case in connection with the OneCoin distribution.
The public prosecutor's office in Augsburg issued a penalty order against two OneCoin sales partners in which they accused them of violating the OneCoin products Section 16 (II) UWG to have fulfilled, i.e. operated an illegal snowball / pyramid system.
This is always the case when, instead of selling a product, the focus is actually on winning new sales partners for the system, i.e. it cannot keep itself alive without gaining new partners.
